Our volunteer Ambassadors come from all walks of life—lifelong hikers, nature enthusiasts, backpackers, TN State Park Ambassadors, and Certified Tennessee Naturalists. They lead hikes and events that reflect their diverse experiences, welcoming hikers of all skill levels, paces, and interests.

Girls Who Hike Tennessee began in 2018 as part of a national hiking community. When the national group dissolved, Tennessee’s chapter thrived thanks to the dedication of volunteer leaders. We host beginner-friendly and advanced hikes for all paces and abilities, from the flat paved trail around Couchville Lake to the challenging ascent of Mt. LeConte. Workshops like Backpacking 101 and Introduction to Nature Journaling provide opportunities to learn and grow in the outdoors.
